YouTube has recently introduced a new feature that allows creators to save music from the Shorts feed. This feature enables users to reuse Shorts audio in different applications. By simply clicking on “Save Music” in the Shorts UI, creators can add their chosen audio to their sounds folder. This update eliminates the need for workarounds that were previously required to save Shorts music, making it easier for users to engage with music clips from Shorts content.
Music Remix Options and Inspiration Tab
In addition to saving music, YouTube has also added music remix options for Shorts earlier this year. This feature allows creators to come up with their own takes based on audio cues, similar to the key element of TikTok’s success. Furthermore, YouTube will now display its recommendations in the “Inspiration” tab in YouTube Studio in three new languages – Japanese, Korean, and Hindi. This tab, originally named the “Research” tab, provides AI content tips to help creators generate ideas and notes based on their viewers’ interests. It even offers a video outline for creators who may need assistance with content creation.
To assist creators in the YouTube shopping affiliate program, YouTube has introduced a new desktop extension that allows creators to save products and compare commission rates while browsing on Chrome. This extension provides creators with another tool to facilitate product listings in their YouTube clips, enhancing their ability to monetize their content.
YouTube has expanded its resources in the YouTube Help Center under the “Creator Tips” tab. This section offers guides and pointers on various aspects of YouTube channel management, including creation, discovery, and monetization. These new resources provide creators with additional strategies to maximize their presence on YouTube and improve their channel management practices.
