At the core of Graber’s vision for Bluesky is the concept of being “billionaire proof.” This phrase encapsulates the platform’s architectural integrity, designed with its users’ best interests in mind. Graber explained that Bluesky’s open-source framework enables users to retain their followers and migrate away from the platform if they choose to do so. This feature directly addresses the severe backlash that followed Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, which led to a mass exodus of users who felt disillusioned under new management.
